Charles A. Calverley, Jr.
 

Vice President, joined VAN LIEW in 1992. He has administrative and portfolio responsibilities. Formerly President of Pawtucket Trust Company, Mr. Calverley's business career includes Durfee Attleboro Bank and Fleet National Bank. A native Rhode Islander with a BS in Finance and MBA from Bryant College, he is a graduate and former faculty member of the Graduate School of Banking at Northwestern University, and he has numerous civic and charitable interests.

Samuel H. Hallowell, Jr.
 

Senior Portfolio Manager and a Founding Partner, Mr. Hallowell was formerly Vice President in the Trust Division of Rhode Island Hospital Trust, and prior to that, he was associated with Bay Bank Harvard Trust, Cambridge, and Moseley, Hallgarten, Estabrook & Weeden, Boston. Mr. Hallowell, formerly of Beverly Farms, MA, has a BA in History from Boston University. He is the Secretary and Past President of the Audubon Society of Rhode Island, and the Chairman of the Finance Committee of St. Martin's Church, Providence.

Joseph J. Healy, CFA
 

Vice President, Portfolio Manager and Trader joined VAN LIEW in1992. Mr. Healy was formerly with The Boston Company Advisors, Inc. A native of Massachusetts, Mr. Healy has a BS degree from Boston College in Finance and Marketing and is a graduate of the ABA National Trust School.. He has also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the Providence Society of Analysts and the CFA Institute. Mr. Healy is the President and General Securities Principal of Van Liew Securities, Inc. and he holds NASD Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses.

Kevin M. Oates
  Partner, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer, joined VAN LIEW in 1991. Mr. Oates is a Certified Public Accountant who was previously with Finkel, DiSanto, Fine & Co. from August 1985 to April 1991. Previous to that, he was a Senior Tax Consultant with Ernst & Whinney. Mr. Oates, a native of Rhode Island, has a BS/BA with a concentration in accounting from Boston University and is a graduate of the ABA National Trust School and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Edward K. Staples
  Vice President and Trust Officer, Mr. Staples joined VAN LIEW in 2006 and has administrative and portfolio responsibilities.   Previously, he was an officer of RI Hospital Trust, BankBoston, Fleet National Bank and Bank of America, serving in the Trust and Investment Group and Private Bank for 20 years.  Mr. Staples is a graduate of Hobart College and from the ABA National Trust School held at Northwestern University in 1989.    A native of Rhode Island, he has served on the boards of local charitable and civic organizations.

Alfred B. Van Liew
  Managing & Founding Partner, established the Company after 24 years at Rhode Island Hospital Trust. He served at that institution as Chief Executive of the Trust & Investment Management Group and as President and Chief Executive Officer, Hospital Trust, Florida, N.A. Formerly of Long Island, NY, Mr. Van Liew has a BA degree from Brown University. He is on the Board of Trustees at St. Andrew’s School, a Trustee of Landmark Medical Center, and Preserve Rhode Island. Mr. Van Liew is also an Advisor to the National Trust of Historic Preservation and active in many charitable, yachting, and civic organizations.

Wade M. Walbrun
  Vice President, Equity Analyst and Portfolio Manager, joined VAN LIEW in 1993. Mr. Walbrun was formerly with Wissing Gengler Group, Inc. in the field of communications. He is responsible for equity research and also functions as the secondary trader of fixed income and equity securities for VAN LIEW. A native of Wisconsin, Mr. Walbrun has a BFA in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MBA in Finance from Bryant College.

Charlotte A. Yeomans
  Vice President and Chair of the Trust Committee, joined VAN LIEW in 1997 and has administrative and portfolio responsibilities. Ms. Yeomans was formerly a Vice President of the Bank of Newport. A resident of Newport, RI, Ms. Yeomans received a BS degree in education from Rhode Island College, certification in Financial Planning, a graduate degree in Banking from the National School of Banking and graduated with honors in 2000 from the Cannon Financial Institute. She is Treasurer/Secretary of Trustees of Long Wharf and Public School, a member of the Trust & Investment Commission for the City of Newport and is active in other charitable and civic organizations.
